Youth IFX player Eugene Heger voted as a Top Eleven of the week in Germany

After only 3 matches, the young talented player Eugene Heger (16) was voted as a Top Eleven of the Week for the U17 District League 2, playing for FC Hürth U17. The Houston native touched down in the city of Köln as part of Youth Year IFX Germany program – a soccer program that enables young soccer players to partake in an academic year abroad while they play with a competitive German soccer club.

Since her arrival to Spain to join the IFX Spain Pro Year (soccer program in Barcelona), Sydney Kay Weiss (19) a native of Paradise Valley, Arizona trialed with different clubs in Catalonia, signing in the end with CE Júpiter where she will play for the 2018-19 season.

Former IFX Player Brendan McDonough selected 35th Overall in MLS SuperDraft

With Major League Soccer (MLS) clubs shaping 2019 rosters, pleasant news came in from Matthews, North Carolina. The former IFX Germany Program participant, Brendan McDonough (22) who at the time was playing with IFX partner club Freie Turnerschaft Braunschweig as part of his participation in the Youth IFX Year Germany program, was selected by the Vancouver Whitecaps FC with the 35th overall selection of the 2019 Major League Soccer SuperDraft a few weeks ago.

IFX partner club SV Seligenporten hosts Bundesliga club 1.FC Nürnberg

As part of the 2018-19 preseason in Germany, two top clubs in Franconia, Germany faced each other in MARena stadium (Pyrbaum) in a highly entertaining game. The host, the Bayernliga club and IFX partner club SV Seligenporten, led by coach Hendrik Baumgart, had consolidated its team aiming to be a leader in the league this first half season.
